Countryside Management Diploma Level 3
This course will provide you with the understanding, knowledge and practical experience needed to either gain employment in the environmental sustainability sector or go on to a related qualification at higher education.
What will I learn?
The course will cover a range of topics such as Ecology and Conservation, Ecological Concepts and their Application, Woodland Management, Coastal Habitat Management, Biological and Physical Processes, Plant and Soil Science, Practical Estate Skills and Ecological Survey Techniques.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is coursework-based. You will do reports, essays, projects, scientific investigations and practical observation assessments.
What may it lead to?
You can progress on to higher education courses such as a Higher National Diploma (HND) Wildlife Conservation at Canterbury College or university or go into employment.
4 Cs or 4s at GCSE including Level 4 English and Maths and a relevant Full Level 2.
You will be given the opportunity to undertake work experience in the environmental sustainability sector during the course.
