Updates: Colleges & Business Units | Commercial Outlets and Nurseries
Advice for: Students, Parents and Carers | College Applicants | Apprentices
Are you self-taught or stuck in a rut with your computer skills? Would you like to elevate your word processing talents?
This four-week course is designed for those who would like to throw off the frustrations of document creation and learn techniques for ease of use and time-saving tips. Choose from 1, 2 or 3 modules with a Level 2 college certificate or, if preferred, work towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Word Processing: This unit develops learners' ability to create professional word-processed documents, gaining tips for speed and ease of use. Techniques for entering text, editing and formatting work will be covered as well as using drawing tools, tables and pictures for a professional finish. Learners will also understand how to work more effectively using tools such as the spellchecker and mail merge.
You should have basic computer skills such as creating, saving and opening a document. You do not need to have skills in all three units, one will get you there.
Each unit will have an assessment upon its completion which will enable you to gain a college certificate proving competency in the areas covered.
Each unit demonstrates competency in the use of the software. As well as enabling you to create more professional documents with ease, it also increases opportunities for employment.
If you would like to explore a variety of skills in other Microsoft Office applications, you can take advantage of a bundle of courses for a reduced price. Find out more here.
There are two delivery options for this course, running as either an AM or a PM session.
Please note that all courses will only run subject to minimum numbers being reached. The College reserves the right to cancel courses at any time. Please see our Fees Policy for more information.
