Students have access to industry-standard equipment and facilities within our workshops and are taught by staff that have worked within the industry, applying their experience and knowledge to student learning.
Extensive links with employers and sector leaders throughout East Kent enables you to gain industry experience and build a network with future employers.

Example: Carpenters and joiners
Annual payAcross the UK the workforce is projected to expand by 7% over the period to 2027, adding 15,670 jobs. In the same period, 55% of the workforce is projected to retire, creating 122,305 job openings.
Carpenters and joiners construct, erect, install and repair wooden structures and fittings used in internal and external frameworks and cut, shape, fit and assemble wood to make templates, jigs, scale models and scenic equipment for theatres.

You will apply for your chosen pathway and at the interview you can discuss what entry criteria you need for each level.
Once you have your GCSEs we can ensure you are enrolled on the best level for you to progress and succeed at College.

At your interview, we will discuss the entry requirements for each level and course. It is also your opportunity to make sure that the pathway meets your goals and ambitions.

Social Action at Wildwood
Carpentry students volunteered at the Wildwood Trust, helping to clear overgrown foliage and vegetation, as part of their community payback.
Carpentry students take part in Social Action
Carpentry apprentices made owl boxes for Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership who work with the community to conserve and promote the Stour Valley.
