Carpentry Diploma Level 2

This course will provide you with the necessary skills to achieve a recognised qualification for working as a site carpenter in the construction industry. 

What will I learn?

This course will include modules such as:

  • Health and safety in construction
  • Basic tools skills and maintenance
  • Setting out joists and trusses
  • Stud partitioning
  • Fixing skirting and architrave
  • Door hanging
  • Fixing locks
  • Manufacturing of basic joinery items
  • Functional Skills

How will I be assessed? 

Students are assessed by completing a portfolio, undertaking timed online tests and carrying out observed practical tasks. 

What may it lead to? 

This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to lead to a site carpenter role.

You could also progress into higher education (degree-level) studies.
