Bricklaying Diploma Level 2 (19+)

Course Overview

This course will give learners an understanding of basic masonry construction techniques and allow you to gain confidence in building walls independently.

Course Detail

You will learn basic bricklaying skills in;

  • Measuring
  • Leveling
  • Plumbing bricks
  • Mixing Mortar.

You will also learn how to erect cavity walls, solid walls and masonry cladded walls, alongside discovering how to repoint brickwork and remove bricks.

Course Assessment

Learners will complete practical assessments covering the learned topics. There will also be two online examinations that will test your theoretical knowledge.

Course Progression

This course could lead to a career as an improver bricklayer or an apprenticeship.

Additional Information

Learners will need the following equipment prior to starting the course;

  • Steel toed boots
  • Work trousers
  • Tape measure
  • Pens and pencils.
