Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the fundamental basics or a professional photographer who wishes to work with like-minded people, develop your skills in this darkroom photography course.
Lalo Borja is an International former newspaper photographer, University and College teacher and prolific practitioner of traditional photography.
A master in his field he has travelled the world, always with a 35mm camera to hand and has a portfolio that rivals the greats. He has inspired young and old for many years and has an unrivalled passion for the subject which he will share with you.
His workshops will teach you how to expose, develop and reproduce black and white film using traditional darkroom techniques at our industry-standard facilities.
Workshops will emphasise individual development throughout the duration of course and exhibition opportunities will also be offered to you at stages throughout the year.
There are no formal entry requirements.
These classes are for beginners where Lalo will teach you the fundamental basics of this craft or for professional photographers who want a group of like-minded individuals to share ideas with, contextual references and or to be involved in a creative environment, dedicated to dark room photography.
This five-week course will be delivered in 3 hour weekly sessions held on a Monday evening between 6pm to 9pm.
We provide all darkroom chemicals and kit, photographic paper and a certain amount of 35mm film.
You should have your own 35mm camera, preferably an SLR so you can take shots out of class time to bring to the class.
