Animal Care Diploma Level 2

This course will provide you with broad knowledge and practical experience in animal care and welfare. There is a larger science and theoretical component to this course, building on Level 1.

What will I learn?

You will study familiar and unusual animals, covering biology, health, welfare and habitats.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by practical assessments and written assignments throughout your course.

What may it lead to?

You can progress on to the Level 3 programme or go into employment in the animal care sector.

Entry requirements

4 Ds or 3s at GCSE including English and Maths or a relevant Full Level 1.

Work experience

You will be required to complete at least two weeks of work experience.

Additional information & other costs

Visits are arranged to a range of zoos, parks, animal centres and businesses to expand your knowledge of the sector.
