Accounting T Level

The T Level in Accounting equips you with the skills, knowledge and experience needed to kick-start your future in Finance.  

Course content

Designed by industry leaders, the T Level combines hands-on learning, academic study and a 45-day work experience placement with a local employer.

In Year One you will study core units covering a range of topics such as:

  • Careers within the accounting professions
  • Fundamentals of financial accounting – understanding financial principals, concepts and practices
  • Data, analytics and design thinking in the context of business
  • Professionalism and ethics
  • Regulation in the accounting sector
  • Law impacting on accounting professions

In Year Two, you will study an occupational specialism and you will learn how to:

  • Prepare financial statements
  • Analyse business performance and present results
  • Provide support to the tax and audit functions
  • Produce and analyse a trial balance
  • Prepare payroll.

. During this year, you will further develop your knowledge whilst developing the skills needed complete your specialist project

Your Future

Once you have successfully completed your T Level, there will be a range of progression opportunities available to you. These include, entering skilled employment, starting a higher-level apprenticeship, and going to university.

After studying this T Level, you could progress into a career as a:

  • Accounts Administrator/Assistant
  • Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerk
  • Payroll Assistant
  • Tax Assistant
