The AAT Access Award in Accounting Software offers students at Level 1 the opportunity to develop their skills in using accounting software. This qualification can offer a route into employment, support students in their existing work, or help students to pursue further study with AAT.
This qualification is designed to give students the introductory knowledge and confidence to take on higher level AAT qualifications and to progress in their lives and careers. A student completing this qualification will develop an understanding of the benefits and risks of using accounting software. Students will learn how to set up accounts and how to record bank and cash transactions using accounting software. They will also develop the skills needed to produce a range of reports to meet business needs.
This qualification can offer a route into employment, support students in their existing work, or help students to pursue further study with AAT (Award in Book-keeping and Foundation Certificate in Accounting).
Students must pass one end-of-qualification assessment to achieve the qualification. This is an externally assessed qualification.
For the best chance of success, we recommend that students begin their AAT studies with a good standard of English and maths.
The course fee is £300, which includes AAT membership and one exam sitting. You may be eligible for adult funding for this course. Please check with our Information and Guidance Team.
