Denise left school at 16 to join the Metropolitan Police Cadets then progressed on to becoming a WPC working at many London Boroughs. After maternity leave she started up her first art business. Specialising in Childrens’ wall murals and handpainted furniture. Her 1st year saw her winning the national Shell Livewire young  entrepreneurs’ competition. This progressed into studying and qualifying as an Interior Designer and working for a design studio in London. After 5 years and promotion she was headhunted by Hamiltons International Ltd a high class furniture and design company in Chislehurst in Kent. Where she started up a the interior design department. Within 2 years she was a Director and within 10 years the owner. Designing homes for many celebrities across the globe. She has designed and completed showhomes for many major developers and supplied executive furniture packs for overseas investors. She joined Canterbury college in April 2019 as an Industry liaison officer and became a Swale Borough Councillor in the same year. She joined the board in 2020 and in that year closed her business AFTER ALMOST 30 YEARS to fully concentrate on her students’ progression and work experience, with her vast network of professional creatives.
