Sports clubs at Broadstairs College

If you're looking to join some new clubs to meet likeminded people or wanting to get fit, why not look at this handy list of clubs and consider signing up.

Football Training

Monday 12 - 12.30pm and Wednesday 4 - 5pm  In the Sports Hall

Our football training is one of our most popular clubs, with a great mix of students that come along. There is always a great atmosphere, students are able to have fun and enjoy their time playing football with friends whilst developing their skills.

Students are coached by our own fully qualified coach and can gain the opportunity to play competitively against other college teams.

Tuesday 12 - 12.30pm  In the Sports Hall

Our boxing club helps students improve their sparring skills and techniques. As a high intensity sport, boxing also helps students to develop their fitness levels.

Students will only be able to participate when wearing/using the appropriate equipment provided.

Pool and Table Tennis

Tuesday 4 - 5pm  In the Student Centre

Making the most of the facilities in the Student Centre, this session is great for students who don’t want to get too hot and sweaty but still want to participate in sport. Both pool and table tennis are great ways to develop your technical and tactical skills. You'll have the opportunity to play standard games against fellow students, as well as develop your understanding of the game and practice trick shots.

Students often get the opportunity to enter table tennis and pool tournaments and compete against other campuses.

Thursday 4 - 5pm  In the Sports Hall

This club is for those who like to try a variety of different sports. With the use of the sports hall, we can do almost all sports, from Boccia and Netball to Futsal and Handball.

This session is always student led, with participants choosing what sport(s) they'd like to try, this gives student a sense of ownership and responsibility.

If any of these clubs are of interest to you, come along and join in. What better way to meet new friends from other courses, keep fit and blow off some steam during your college day.
