Welcome to Broadstairs Junior College.
Broadstairs Junior College first opened its doors in September 2015, offering pupils a high-quality Study Programme that focusses on vocational courses, with the goal of leading to career paths. The College is able to offer students places to start full-time courses in Year 10 in September this year. This means that students in Year 9 can opt to leave their current school and join our Junior College from the start of Year 10.
We are a mainstream provision with a challenging curriculum for those students that are clear about the industry they would like to progress into.
Junior College students will not only gain a suite of qualifications but have the ability to progress directly into higher levels of learning at the age of 16.
We know starting a new school is a big decision for both parents and children. You can find some of the answers to questions you may have on our Information for Parents page.
I decided to send my child to Broadstairs Junior College as he wasn’t motivated at his last school. The Junior College is different because it pushes students to the best of their ability and brings out the best in them. The facilities are fantastic and the tutors are encouraging and positive, which has increased my son’s self-confidence. I would recommend it to other parents as it’s everything you want for your child in the most important years of their education.
Without doubt, it was the right decision to send my daughter to Broadstairs Junior College. She loves it there and the tutors are excellent. They are very approachable and have a closer relationship with the students. It’s a small school, which makes it feel like a community and it’s very friendly. I would highly recommend Broadstairs Junior College to other parents as my daughter is doing really well.
To any parents considering the College, I would say give it a try – it’s a nice environment and I especially liked the idea of a smaller school setting. The tutors know my daughter very well due to the small class sizes, and the Head Teacher is easy to speak to without an appointment. My daughter really likes coming here.
