Perfect if you want to learn the skills needed to work as an electrician or with electrical systems.
This is an industry-standard programme, which includes the following elements:
• Practical work, taught in our well-equipped workshops
• Health and safety
• Principles of electrical science
• Electrical installations theory
The course includes up-to-date renewable energy elements and will allow you to progress onto a Level 3 programme, after which you can become a qualified electrician.
We will help you develop practical installation skills and learn the theory necessary to succeed as an electrician. As an electrician, you will be able to work in a desirable and expanding business area.
4 GCSEs at D/3 or above (two of these must be English and maths at GCSE grade 4 or above) or a relevant Full Level 1 Diploma (including English and maths at GCSE grade 4 or above).
You will learn through practical sessions in our workshops and assessment will be through practical assignments, written work and online tests.
On successful completion, you could choose to move on to study at a higher level or seek an Apprenticeship within the electrical industry at Level 3.
