Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities

Professional cookery and careers in hospitality open up opportunities that could take you all over the world. 

With our history as a catering college, our qualifications could give you the edge you need to start a successful career in this challenging industry. 

You will study in our professional kitchens and gain work experience in our on-site commercial hotel and restaurant, benefitting from tuition and guidance from some of Kent’s leading chefs and hospitality experts.

Facilities

Our students learn in industry-standard kitchens, fully equipped with commercial catering equipment. Learners have further opportunities to train in the working kitchens within The Yarrow hotel, a four-star hotel open to the public. This unique style of learning, with work experience on their doorstep, gives our students a real competitive edge when entering the industry.

Role description

Catering and bar managers plan, direct and co-ordinate the catering and bar facilities and services of licensed premises, factories, shops, theatres, educational premises and other establishments. They also manage outside catering businesses and shops selling food cooked on the premises.
