Management and Administration T Level

T Levels are a brand new qualification, equivalent to three A Levels, designed to give you a head start towards the future you want.

The T Level in Management and Administration is a two year course that enables you to develop the knowledge, skills and experience needed to thrive in a career in Business.

 

 

Course Overview

Designed by industry leaders, the T Level combines hands-on learning, academic study and a 45-day work experience placement with a local employer. 

You will study core units covering a range of topics such as:

  • Business in context – understanding organisational cultures and values, different types of stakeholders, and different forms of governance
  • The impact of organisations on society and the environment
  • Business behaviours and the importance of good communication
  • Quality assurance and compliance

Course Detail

In year one, you will study the core units including:

  • Business Context
  • Business Behaviours
  • People Management
  • Quality and Compliance
  • Finance Principles
  • Policies and Procedures
  • Project and Change Management

In year two, you will study the occupational specialism: Team Leadership / Management

Course Assessment

All assessment is externally assessed. The core units in year one will be assessed by two exams at the end of the first year and a ‘project’. The project will be a controlled assessment that is linked to work experience.

The occupational specialism in year two will be assessed through two exam papers.

Course Progression

Once you have successfully completed your T Level, there will be a range of progression opportunities available to you. These include, entering skilled employment, starting a higher-level apprenticeship, and going to university.

After studying this T Level, you could progress into a career in:

  • Business Improvement
  • Project Support
  • Team Leading
  • Administration

Work Experience

This course requires you to complete a minimum of 315 hours of industry placement across the two years within a business environment. Our Industry Liaison Officers will support you in finding a placement and we have excellent links with local businesses, including our own Yarrow Hotel.
