Our Beauty Salon at our Elwick Road campus gives you the opportunity to work in a variety of areas including massage, nailcare, skincare, make-up artistry, aromatherapy and many more! By working with clients from outside the college, you will get the chance to gain real practical experience that will be heavily valued in the industry.

Make an impact on our community

This year, Beauty students have gone above and beyond when it comes to helping us in our community. Over four days last winter, they gave Afghani women free pamper sessions and makeovers, helping them to feel relaxed while they wait to be permanently rehoused. Our students have also been showing off their skills at Open Days and other college events.

With the practical experience you will gain from Ashford College, there are so many options you can go down after your beauty education with us. Whether you want to go into theatrical make-up, management, massage therapy, manicuring, customer service or another choice, we will help streamline your knowledge so that you make your mark when it comes to the future.

Lots of fun classes!

Although we offer Beauty as a full time course, throughout the year there are lots of chances to join us on our part time and short courses. Examples last year included a deeper look into nail skills for the home and in industry (as shown off at our Positive Pathways event taster session in July). It is never too late to join us for a bit of beauty experience and some fun!

Build your portfolio and skillset

Through our Beauty courses, you will be encouraged to actively seek clients and build up connections with them, helping to build your links and your portfolio which will make you stand out in the future. Our dedicated staff will be able to help point you in the right direction when it comes to building your portfolio and skillset, and anything you want to learn which isn’t in the course yet can be looked in to.
