We are back!

The College is open and operating a bubble system to try and limit the spread of COVID-19 whilst still providing an excellent educational experience.

The cohort of students for the academic year, 2020/2021 have been split into 14 bubbles in order to effectively manage social distancing and support the government issued guidelines. We are also providing multiple hand sanitisation sites across each floor and have issued guidance to students regarding hygiene.

Your bubble colour will depend on the subject you study, and you will be given a coloured pull reel on your student lanyard to remind you and others of your bubble.

These groups have been created to limit the interaction with other students in the College and determine:

  • The building entrance/exit;
  • Toilets;
  • Printers;
  • Water dispensers;
  • Break times;
  • Staircases (Lift facilities are available for those who need them, please contact us in advance if you will require this.);
  • Smoking areas;

This will be made clearer when your timetable is issued. You MUST stick to these set zones to keep yourself and others safe. There will be arrows and directions around the College. You must follow these signs to keep the integrity of the bubbles.

If you are unsure about any details or have any questions that need answering, contact your Head of Department, these are listed below:

We have also gone cashless, to encourage contactless payment and to try and stop the spread of the virus. This has been helped by introducing the UPay app – which allows staff and students alike to order, pay for and chose a delivery location in the College to avoid cross-contamination of bubbles in communal areas.
