Results Days August 2022

Find out below when our Results Days are and read some FAQ's.

What Results Day do I attend and what do I need to bring?

For students at Ashford College, what results day you attend depends on what course you are doing.

For Level 3 students, Level 3 Results Day is Thursday 18th August (10am onwards)

The results of your Level 3 studies will be available to collect from 10am on the day. Any results that are not collected will be posted on Thursday 25th August.

For GCSE/Level 2/Level 1 students, Results Day is Thursday 25th August (10 - 2)

The results of these level courses and GCSE results will be available to collect between 10am-2pm on that date. After 2pm, any that are not collected will be posted that afternoon.

You MUST bring your student ID or other proof of ID with you to collect your results. If you have no ID, you will not be able to collect your results. There is also NO PARKING at the college due to the Phase 2 development. We recommend parking in the town centre at Vicarage Lane, Elwick Place, Dover Place or the Ashford Borough Council car park opposite the college (next to the Southeastern car park).

What if I can't/don't attend my Results Day?

If you are unable to collect your results from the campus, they will be posted to you on Thursday 25th August and be with you within a few days after this date.

Unfortunately, we are unable to give any results over the phone or by email.

If you would like to send someone else to pick up your results you will need to email us at ashford@eastkent.ac.uk or phone us on 01233 743100 and request permission (Your nominated person must bring ID with them).

Can I have some advice before collecting my results?

The college is here to support you, no matter what your results are. Remember to keep calm and remember that no matter what happens your options are and will be open.

Understand the grades - GCSE's grades are numbers from 9-1 (highest to lowest, and U is for a grade too low to be classified). Grade 9 is the highest you can get (A* is in between the 8 and 9 grades). Grade 7 is an A Grade, and Grade 4 is a C Grade.

My grades are not what I needed or expected - what do I do now?

There is no need to panic. If you have been given grade requirements in order to study a course, your first call or email should be to the college/university/apprenticeship provider to find out if they will still accept you. You might find that they are still able to offer you the same course, or they might make an alternative offer to you (through their clearing programs as an example)

Don't feel rushed into making a decision and weigh up all your options. If you want to talk it over with family then ask if you can give the course provider a response later or the next day, most will be happy for you to take your time!

If the provider is unable to offer you a place then take some time to think about what else you might want to do, try to be open-minded and positive - it might not be what you planned for but that doesn't mean there are no good alternatives out there for you in a variety of areas.

Can I resit my exam at college?

Speak to a member of the GCSE/College team who will be on hand on the day about whether a resit is possible. If not, they will be able to help with advice and present other options.

Can Ashford College provide me with further options to help my future?

Yes! After our results day on Thursday 25th, we will hold the first of our Open Enrolment sessions from 3pm - allowing you to find a course for you starting in September 2022, whether you're a 16-19 or an adult learner. Find out more about this here.
