Results Day highlights!

After a challenging year for academic study, we're looking back on A-Level and GCSE results day.

We'd like to share some of our favourite moments from both A-Level Results Day and GCSE Results Day. Did you pick up any results this summer? How did you do? Let us know via our social media pages!

A-Level Results Day

Following A-Level results day on Tuesday 10 August, we'd like to share a handful of our success stories and where our students are off to next:

Matilda, former engineering student, collected her results to find D*D*D waiting for her. She is progressing onto an aerospace engineering course at Brunel University in London. We're over the moon for her, best of luck!

George, also an engineering student, achieved top marks of Triple D*. He has been offered a place at Russell Group University, Bristol, where George will be studying electronic engineering. It's wonderful to see the hard work paying off!

Former Music Student Chloe joined the College 3 years ago on Music pathway and is off to Buckinghamshire New University. She is a perfect example of progression! Over 3 years she completed the level 2 and then level 3 course to help her progress. What a great achievement!

Louise (left) and Sophie (right) have both completed the Health and Social Care level 3 qualification and they're taking two different pathways to industry! Lousie has secured a job and is progressing straight into work and as a healthcare professional, and Sophie is off to Hertfordshire University after achieving grades of DDD to study Learning Disability Nursing. Well done Louise and Sophie, you are great advocates of the different ways to progress.

After both achieving top marks of Triple D*, twins Josh (Left) and Jake (Right) are both progressing onto apprenticeships to further their skills and qualifications in engineering. Another great example of the multitude of progression pathways available once you've completed your College course!

GCSE Results Day

This year's GCSE Results Day took place on Thursday 12 August. After a difficult few years for those sitting exams, we have had some brilliant stories regarding those students who have either retaken their exams or have sat them for the first time:

These four photos capture the brilliant moment that plumbing student Louis opened his GCSE English resit results. After a lot of hard work, Louis' grade went from a 3 to a 7! To top it off, he passed his Level 2 plumbing course as well and he's got a job lined up in the plumbing sector. We couldn't be happier for you Louis!

Working mum Sabrina (second from the right) came back to College because she wanted to improve on her English GCSE grade so she could progress her career. When she opened her envelope there was a grade 7 waiting for her! Her hard work paid off and she's now able to progress her professional career. It was a lovely moment seeing her share the day with her family, many congratulations, Sabrina.

Well done to progression students Rhia, Samantha and Courtney (Left to right) who have all completed the level one Early Years course and are coming back next year to study level two. We hope that you enjoy your summer and we're looking forward to seeing you in September!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR GRADUATES FROM 2021!
