Advice for: Students, Parents and Carers | College Applicants | Apprentices
On Wednesday 1st March, we held our Careers Fair 2023, which was organised by Thomas White, our Careers and Employment Engagement Officer. In College, Tom is located on the 2nd floor in the E-Hub, and can help students with career advice, support for applications and can help them with interview prep amongst other support.
All our Pathways and courses were represented at this event, so every student had the chance to learn more and think about where their career could go. Stalls on the day offered advice to students and more information about that particular company, but some had practical activities for students to do, as well as some free gifts. (bottles, pens etc)
Some of the companies on the day had very creative stalls. Southeastern brought along a giant wire buzz game, testing students in terms of patience and problem solving. Designed as a train, it was very hard to complete without setting it off, and was a unique way for students to display and use key skills that the company was looking for.
Universities locally and nationally were also in attendance, as well as Apprenticeship teams, letting students know that they can also build their careers with higher education and future learning. These teams were also available for discussions with those who are undecided about their future to consider options and to see where they may like to go.
We would like to thank the following companies and Universities for coming to help teach our students what they can offer:
