Understand how to work with younger learners in a range of educational settings.
This qualification provides learners with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school and college environments. It covers all aspects of specialist support, including: planning; delivering and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning alongside the teacher; bilingual support; special needs support; and personal development and reflective practice.
Work in a nursery setting or move into higher education, such as the College's Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies (SEN).
This course will cover a variety of aspects of caring for children and supporting their needs, such as child development, safeguarding and wellbeing, and creating activity plans.
You can look forward to the opportunity to put your skills into use with practical experience in early years settings alongside your course.
This course would be ideal for adults returning to learning and who want a flexible course.
You will learn through practical and theoretical lessons, complete observations in the workplace and build a portfolio of work.
You can progress straight into employment as a Level 3 Practitioner.
This course will take place one Thursday evening a week - 4:30 - 7:30pm. Please note that this course is only for those 19+.
