Pathways

Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities

A maths qualification is not only an essential element for your employment prospects but also offers other opportunities such as career changes and entry into further and higher education. It is never too late to get your Maths GCSE at Ashford College, with specialist tutors and staff who are dedicated to getting you the results you need. You will also have access to software which will enable you to get a better understanding of the topics covered.

You will learn how to analyse situations mathematically and problem solve using maths, algebra, geometry and statistics, (following the Edexcel syllabus) and there will be three paper-based exams at the end of the course. In class (during the course), you'll be assessed in a variety of different ways.

Depending on your current GCSE maths status, you may be asked to take a paper assessment before your interview to see if you have the right basic level of maths before attempting our Maths course. If you need any help with this process however, our team will be happy to help.

Please be aware the Maths Pathway is currently only for those 19+ as this is a part-time course. 16 - 18 students can study for their Maths GCSE with us alongside any of our other pathways.
