Health and Social Care CACHE/NCFE Certificate Level 2

Gain the skills you need to join the Health and Social Care sector with a variety of units. This is also perfect for those already employed in the sector, who wish to improve their skills and understanding.

Studying this course will allow you to gain an understanding of the sector and the key principles. 

A successful learner in a course like this would be an enthusiastic, dedicated learner who wants to work in a Health and Social Care setting and wants to boost their future.

What does this course involve?

This course will cover a variety of aspects of Health and Social Care, such as human development, safeguarding and wellbeing, and issues of equality and diversity relating to this area. 

Units covered will be as follows:

Unit 1- Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care.

Unit 2- Human lifespan and development

Unit 3- Safeguarding and protection in health and social care.

You can look forward to the opportunity to put your skills into use with practical experience that you can gain through further learning with us or in your own work environment during the course.

Assessment

You will learn through practical and theoretical lessons, in which you will show that you can understand and can apply your knowledge.

Entry

Due to the nature of this part-time course, you can still join us after the start date. You will be able to catch up on the work you have missed so far, and there are no extra fees for starting later!

Progression

You can progress straight into employment with your Level 2 certificate, as well as go on for promotion in your area with your new skills. You can even go on to a Level 3 course in this area if interested.

Please be advised that this course is for learners aged 19+ only, and will take place one Wednesday evening a week at 5.30-8.30pm.

Fees and Costs:

*This course may be free to those who are 19+ and are unemployed or on a low income.

19 - 23: You are eligible if you are unemployed, receiving benefits or on a low wage. This course can also be fully funded if you already have a full Level 2. 

24+: You are eligible if you are unemployed, receiving benefits, or on a low wage.
