An English qualification is not only an essential element for your employment prospects but also offers other opportunities such as career changes and entry into further and higher education. It is never too late to get your English GCSE at Ashford College, with specialist tutors and staff who are dedicated to getting you the results you need. You will also have access to software which will enable you to get a better understanding of the topics covered.
GCSE English is designed to enable students of all abilities to develop the skills they need to read, understand and analyse a wide range of different texts covering the 19th, 20th and 21st century time periods. It is also designed to help you write clearly, coherently and accurately using a range of vocabulary and sentence structures. You will complete two final exams, both unseen texts, with sections on reading and writing. There will also be a speaking and listening assessment, throughout the course of study.
There will be a pre-course assessment to determine your current English learning status, to indicate if you are working at Level 2 or GCSE grade 3/D standard. If you need any help with this process however, our team will be happy to help.
