Pathways

Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities

Ashford College's fantastic industry-standard facilities and highly qualified staff with commercial backgrounds will give you the best start in the beauty industry.

If you are interested in helping people to look their best and have excellent communication and time management skills, then this could be the perfect career path for you.

Depending on the course, you will be doing a wide number of beauty treatments to get clients to look their best, such as manicure and pedicure, facial skincare, waxing, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, head massage, and ear-piercing as examples. This pathway has a strong vocational emphasis, allowing you to develop practical skills recognised by employers. You'll be encouraged to develop your own abilities, and also to communicate and interact with external clients.

Our Beauty salon allows you to practice your skills on clients from both inside and outside the college, whether it be staff, fellow students or members of the public. During this you will be under the supervision of our industry experienced professionals, who will be happy to help at anytime.

Aromatherapist, Bridal Make-Up Artist, Customer Service, Manicurist, Massage Therapist, Nail Technician, Product Adviser, Reflexologist, Theatrical Make-Up Artist and Salon Manager are just some of the careers that qualifications in beauty therapy can lead to.
