Pathways are made up of courses focused on future careers or further education opportunities
With our Barbering pathway at Ashford, you will be able to gain an introduction into the hair industry if you are 16+, or if you are 19+, you can train as a barber or owner of a barber's salon. Both of our courses will teach you how to advise and consult clients and promote services and products, as well as how to shampoo and condition hair and scalp, cut and style hair.
These skills will be taught and specified for Men's hair in the 19+ course, with more of a focus on cutting and styling men's hair and facial hair. Both courses are taught in modern, well-equipped, facilities by vocational lecturers who have worked, or are currently working, in the industry. They therefore have wide-ranging and current experience of industry needs and trends, and will be able to teach you up to date salon skills, which will be supported by underpinning theory knowledge.
