Advice for: Students, Parents and Carers | College Applicants | Apprentices
This qualification delivers a solid foundation in finance administration and core accounting skills. Students will also learn about accountancy related business and personal skills and be introduced to the four key themes embedded in the qualification: ethics, technology, communications and sustainability.
You will learn a wide variety of skills to help you break into the accounting industry, including double-entry bookkeeping, basic costing and an understanding of purchase, sales and general ledgers.
The skills you will gain here will help you to progress to the next chapter of your career, and you can progress onto the AAT advanced qualifications such as our Level 3.
You don’t need any prior accounting qualifications, skills, knowledge, or experience to get started (although good basic numeracy and literacy skills are needed).
This course costs £632* and includes the cost of AAT membership.
For our AAT Courses, you will be expected to bring a calculator and you may need to buy some course text books.
