Martyn Rogers

Assistant Principal

Martyn is an Assistant Principal at Canterbury College. He oversees the pastoral support and estates functions at the College and leads on the recruitment and admissions service for applicants to the College. 

He is the Lead for safeguarding operations at the College and liaises with external agencies and organisations to enable both internal and external support.

Martyn joined the College in 2008 after spending a total of 23 years in the Army. often deployed on active service in various locations worldwide.

Upon completion of his service, he worked in London in security screening employees within FTSE organisations.

Following this, Martyn joined Canterbury College as the Registry Manager and was soon afterwards appointed as Head of Campus Operations. After the EKC Group merger, he was then appointed Assistant Principal.

Due to his experience within the Armed Forces, Martyn is on the Board of Service Children's Progression (SCiP) Alliance as well as Local Community Partnership Groups that support the wellbeing and safety of young people.

Martyn's interests include Formula 1, fitness and travel. He lives in Whitfield with his wife Su, who works at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital as a Senior Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician.
