There are so many different types of facilities at your fingertips within this department, including three full-size art studios. Our sculpture and ceramics studio will give you access to pottery wheels and kilns which you will need to create your sculptures. Photography students will be able to use our studio, which is well-appointed with professional lighting equipment and a darkroom. If you choose to study Graphic Design, you can use the iMac suite and our graphics tablets.
Explore your creative side at the College by learning about new and exciting technologies, which will set you up for a career in the media industry. With our College TV and radio studio, which are both equipped to industry standard, you will have the chance to work with clients on real media projects.
Our College is home to the newly transformed Sport and Fitness Centre. After a huge redevelopment, the Centre is now available for you to make the most of your course. Your lessons will take place in our large sports hall, modern gym, and fitness studio with semi-sprung flooring. All of these facilities will allow you to improve your fitness levels and elevate your skills.
As part of your course, you will be putting your skills to the test by helping to run The Canterbury Spa, based in the College. Our hairdressing department has a fully-functional salon, with links to L’Oreal and Wella, so you will be in the best place to gain valuable industry knowledge and improve your career prospects at the same time!
Animal Care students can learn in a specialised centre, which is currently home to more than 200 animals ranging from meerkats, turtles, chinchillas and rabbits. The centre also has a veterinary nursing classroom, complete with a professional operating theatre and an x-ray machine. This equipment will give you hands-on experience which will provide the skills you will need for a future in animal care.
